We’re Barks Tech, a small, family-owned electronics company that makes headphones for classrooms. In this article we’ll go through the attributes and features you should be looking for when buying headphones.
P.S. Obviously, we’re incredibly biased, so we’ll be using examples and features from our own bulk headphone model. If you’d prefer to go with another model or company, that’s fine, too. You can apply the following criteria to any bulk headphones purchase you’re interested in for your school.
#1 — Buying From a Trusted Brand
The first puzzle piece is keeping in mind that you should be buying from a trusted brand. Now, going with the high end brands (Bose, Sony, Beats, etc.) is going to end up costing you a lot more at the end of the day.
We recommend going with and supporting a smaller company that has your exact use case in mind. Here at Barks Tech, our headphones are built for schools and bulk applications. We’re constantly making improvements to our products and offer a limited lifetime warranty. Finding a company that stands behind their products and personally emails you back can be tough.
We pride ourselves on filling this void, which, in our humble opinion, makes us one of the best options when it comes to choosing a company to work with.
#2 — Shopping for the Features You Need
Next on the list is knowing what you need. Are the headphones for testing? Will they be plugged into tablets? Will they be used for a multimedia center? Now, this is one of the spots we are working on. Our current model does not offer a mic at this time, but if you’re reading this article in the future we’ll likely have a few other models out by then.
Keeping the features you need in mind is key, as well as the type of plug. Our product has a 3.5mm plug for use with any headphone plug. However, if you need wireless or a USB plug-in, you’ll need to look elsewhere for now as well. We’ll be working on introducing these options in the future.
#3 — Balancing Quality & Price (#1 Factor)
This is another area where we feel like we shine bright. As we mentioned in the first factor, the biggest brands have the absolute best quality, but if you’re looking to make a bulk purchase, you’ll need to balance quality and price. Our headphones are great quality, but they do not match up to the biggest brands. However, we balance this with a great bulk price that fits for almost any budget. Our headphones are for all ages, from K through 12 and beyond.
